Xinhua|‘China Carbon Disclosure Platform for Machinery and Electronics’ has been officially launched

  SINGAPORE, March 22 (Xinhua) -- On March 22nd, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (hereinafter referred to as CCCME), in collaboration with Shanghai Carbon Newture Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Carbon Newture), launched the ‘China Carbon Disclosure Platform for Machinery and Electronics’ during the 2023 Conference on International Industrial Cooperation (Singapore) & China's Machinery and Electronics Show in Singapore.

  The platform will use digital technology to disclose 'carbon information' of enterprises and visually display the carbon footprint for different stages of the product lifecycle. Chao Zheng, Executive Vice President and Chairman of the Expert Committee of CCCME, said, "CCCME has a significant number of members in the machinery and electronics manufacturing industry, and these enterprises focus on achieving high-quality development in China while also striving to 'Go Global' with high standards. The transparent disclosure of 'carbon information' can effectively assist Chinese M&E businesses in becoming green partners for worldwide sustainable development."

  Arthur Huang, (CEO of Carbon Newture) stated that the platform is dedicated to using ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) solutions to help Chinese M&E enterprises enhance their ESG performance. "This is crucial for us to assist M&E enterprises in overcoming international green trade barriers, support Chinese machinery and electronics suppliers in better handling challenges in the international free trade market and public procurement market, and promote more sustainable procurement."

  Arthur Huang explained that currently, dozens of M&E enterprises have been engaged in the platform's related services, with nearly 100 new services for enterprises being reviewed and launched in succession.

  China Carbon Disclosure Platform for Machinery and Electronics is a platform established to help M&E enterprises actively respond to China's 3060 target, and comply with domestic and international regulations. It also provides a smart platform for collaboration between Chinese M&E enterprises and the international free trade market and public procurement market.
