On September 7, 2023, the second Green China · Low Carbon Industry International Cooperation Forum was held in Xiamen. The forum is hosted by the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and the State Power Investment Group, and jointly hosted by Menglang Sustainable Digital Technology. It is an important industrial investment special event held during the 23rd China International Investment and Trade Fair. The event focuses on topics such as low-carbon transformation of parks, ESG value leadership, green finance investment, and international cooperation in industries, with the theme of "ESG Road to Global Industrial Investment". Representatives of international organizations, local governments and parks, investment promotion institutions, financial institutions, as well as well-known Chinese and foreign enterprise executives and industry experts and scholars are invited to attend.
Li Yong, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, stated in his speech that as an executing agency for two-way investment policies, the Investment Promotion Bureau actively builds a cross-border cooperation platform for green and low-carbon industries, jointly explores the cutting-edge trends of industrial investment in the dual carbon era, injects new momentum into industrial innovation and development, and promotes investment cooperation and high-quality development of low-carbon industries. Huang Guobin, Deputy Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Party Group of the Xiamen Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, stated in his speech that Xiamen will continue to uphold the concept of green development, promote the deepening and implementation of the "dual carbon" strategy, and create a local pillar industry of green resources.
